Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Trailer Unleashed: Hamza Returns to Rule Lyari; Release Date Confirmed

MUMBAI – The wait is finally over for fans of the high-octane espionage franchise. The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) officially dropped the trailer today, March 7, 2026, at 11:01 AM, sending social media into a frenzy and triggering a massive surge in advance ticket sales.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar promises a darker, more violent chapter in the life of Indian undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, better known by his alias, Hamza Ali Mazari.

A wide cinematic movie poster and news banner for the film "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge." At the center, a gritty Ranveer Singh stares intensely at the camera, sporting a rugged beard and a visible scar on his forehead, while holding a tactical rifle. He is dressed in a black leather jacket, standing in the middle of a crowded, sun-drenched street in a dusty, Middle Eastern or South Asian town. In the background, other cast members like Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal are visible amidst a crowd of locals, with hazy mountains in the distance. The top of the image features a "BREAKING NEWS" ticker, while the bottom includes the film's title in bold, metallic gold lettering, the release date of March 19, 2026, and a full credit block listing Aditya Dhar as the director along with the production houses, Jio Studios and B62 Studios.

Key Highlights of the Trailer

The three-minute-25-second trailer picks up after the explosive events of the first film, following the death of the notorious Rehman Dakait (played by Akshaye Khanna).

  • The Rise of Hamza: Ranveer Singh showcases a dual-avatar performance, tracing Jaskirat’s transformation into the ruthless "Sher-e-Baloch" as he infiltrates the deepest layers of Pakistan's underworld.

  • The Ultimate Face-Off: The trailer features high-stakes confrontations between Hamza and Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), while Sanjay Dutt returns in a quirky yet menacing role as SP Chaudhary Aslam.

  • A Nationalistic Tone: The trailer concludes with a hard-hitting dialogue from Ranveer: "Pakistan ka mustakbil ab Hindustan tay karega" (India will now decide Pakistan's future).

  • Stellar Ensemble: The film stars R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, alongside Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and reportedly a special appearance by Yami Gautam.
